The Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement with wide receiver Quintez Cephus, who was reinstated by the NFL on April 18 following his one-year suspension, Cephus’ agency announced Sunday. The agreement has not yet been signed but will last one year, according to a team source.
Last April, Cephus was among five players suspended for violating the NFL’s gambling policy, including then-Lions safety CJ Moore and current Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams. Players received varying lengths of suspension, with Cephus’s being indefinite.
Once reinstated, Cephus was free to sign with a team.

Cephus, a fifth-round pick in 2020, had not earned a roster spot with the Lions before his suspension. He had been in and out of the lineup due to injuries and was considered a roster bubble player heading into the 2023 season.
In three seasons in Detroit, Cephus had 37 receptions for 568 yards and four touchdowns.
