Tiger Woods’ TGL Team Officially Formed: Max Homa, Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner to Join 15-Time Major Champion in Jupiter Links GC, Woods’ Four-Man Team for Indoor Golf League Set to Begin in January 2025.
The primetime Monday series will feature six four-player PGA Tour teams competing in a custom-built stadium in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The TGL was originally scheduled to kick off in 2024. The start date was postponed a year after the arena suffered significant damage due to a power outage.
As TGL continues to prepare for its inaugural season, the league has slowly been rolling out its teams and Woods’ team is the latest to be announced. The team’s name alludes to Jupiter, Florida, a city on the southeast coast where Woods and many PGA Tour players reside – the area is a haven for professional golfers.
Woods is a co-founder of TGL alongside Rory McIlroy, who runs Boston Common Golf.
A six-time PGA Tour winner, Homa recently finished tied for third at the Masters, marking his best finish at a major tournament. The California native is also an avid social media user, known for his approachable and light-hearted personality on Twitter.
“He’s got all the talent in the world, plus he’s got some jokes,” said Woods, who played with Homa in the first two rounds at Augusta. “He hits so solid and has such a good flight of the ball. He’s going to be a great asset to Jupiter Links, and I know he’s going to be a top player in this game for a long time.
Kim, 21, is by far the youngest member of the group but already has three PGA Tour victories to his name. He became a star at the 2022 Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow, bringing an infectious competitive spirit to the international team.
“Tom is so good and a very underrated player in my opinion,” Woods said. “He defended the international team at the Presidents Cup when they needed it, which as a rookie is not an easy task. I’m delighted to have him on the team.

Kisner is a known trash-talker and fiery match-play competitor. The four-time PGA Tour winner recently took the mic to try his hand as a senior broadcast analyst for NBC.
“Kis is one of the bravest players on the PGA Tour,” Woods said. “I know his personality can fool some people into thinking he’s not that competitive, but you don’t have the kind of match-play record that he has without being relentless. I think that he will be a perfect fit for our team and this type of format.
David Blitzer, owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils, is an investor in Woods’ team.
Woods, a five-time Masters champion, recently made his 24th straight cut at Augusta National a year after undergoing ankle fusion surgery.
The roster for the sixth franchise, San Francisco, has not been set, although Shane Lowry, Wyndham Clark and Min Woo Lee are now the only players committed to the league who have not been assigned to a roster. Boston Common also has a vacancy.
