Luis Enrique says Paris Saint-Germain’s dressing room “is a bit broken” following their 1-0 Champions League first-leg defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
In a gripping clash, Niclas Fullkrug’s first-half goal secured victory for Dortmund on Wednesday.
Nico Schlotterbeck’s precise pass found Fullkrug, who expertly controlled the ball before slotting it past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 36th minute.
Despite PSG’s efforts to level the score, including close attempts from Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi hitting the woodwork, Dortmund’s disciplined defense held firm throughout the match.
Speaking after the match, Luis Enrique said: “Everyone knew it wasn’t going to be easy. It’s the Champions League semi-final.
“The locker room is a bit broken, especially after hitting the post twice. But we were pushed by our supporters throughout the match. We must recognize that it is an exceptional stadium, with supporters who know how to support their team.
“Both teams created a lot of chances today. But they scored, and we didn’t. The result reflects how close the game was. It’s a new situation for both teams .
“In the last two rounds they played the home match as the second match, while for us it was the other way around. We will now have the crowd on our side in the second leg. Of course we will have to be more efficient there than we were today.
