Appalachian State offensive lineman Jack Murphy has died, coach Shawn Clark announced Monday.
No cause of death or other details were given by the school. A school spokesperson told ESPN that Murphy died Friday.

App State finished spring practice in March.
Murphy, who was set to become a fifth-year redshirt junior this fall, was a third-team All-Sun Belt selection and started all 14 games at offensive tackle. The Fairfax, Virginia native previously played three years at Marshall from 2020-22.
