Sports Betting and Fantasy Sports editors generally have one goal in mind in everything we do: “Is this alone worth the price of a subscription?” We know there’s a huge site full of greatness that you can access beyond anything in these sections, but it’s a nice goal to constantly keep in mind as we bring on new writers and partners and even tackle new topics.
Enter Derek Carty (and Analysis of electric vehicles)
If you’re into this stuff like we are, you probably already know Derek, whether as a high-level fantasy player or as the mastermind behind THE BAT and THE BAT X projection systems (the most precise original projection system in fantasy baseball), or as a regular on ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight.” His work is elitist. And that’s why we partner with him (it also helps that he’s a really nice guy).
Derek’s daily MLB projections aren’t just limited to game scores: offerings also include things like the day’s top starters, games with the highest temperature, each team’s chances to make the playoffs playoffs (Angels are at 18%!), referee preview, player props to consider and more. Additionally, we’ll be including releases from Austin Mock’s model, with his “Dinger of the Day”, a Beat the Streak pick, and a daily takedown accessory.
This is high-level data that even the most ardent anti-betting baseball fans can take advantage of – this project is, at its heart, a prediction machine. If you’re a Blue Jays fan, Derek’s model basically tells you their odds of winning on a given day, their odds of making the playoffs, and their odds of winning the World Series. Maybe they have one of the three best starting pitchers in MLB today; Perhaps Bo Bichette has a much-hyped accessory that can inform and enhance your pure game-viewing experience.
For fantasy players, there are first and last 3 starters, player props, and implied winning percentages. Anyone familiar with FanGraphs is likely familiar with THE BAT and THE BAT X projections. on all player pages Already.

The editors here all agree with things. I personally subscribe to SiriusXM, Amazon Prime, Max, Food Network Magazine, Non-Sport Update Magazine, and a handful of other services and companies. I expect excellence, entertainment and value, and I approach Athleticism with the same perspectives for our subscribers. We believe this new partnership delivers on that promise.
Appreciate!
