Troyes, a Ligue 2 club belonging to the City Football Group, saw their home league match against Valenciennes abandoned following unrest between supporters, with the club on the brink of their second consecutive relegation.
The match was abandoned in the 89th minute with the score at 1–1, after a number of flares and smoke bombs were thrown onto the pitch by some of the home fans. He was later dropped by match officials.
Troyes, relegated from Ligue 1 last season, is on the verge of its second consecutive demotion; abandoning this match leaves them seven points from safety with just three matches remaining.
