Manchester United are reportedly considering selling Marcus Rashford if a substantial offer comes in and he tells the club he wants to leave.
However, the Premier League club are not proactively looking to sell the England international, who has over four years left on his contract at Old Trafford.
United’s preference is to keep the 26-year-old and work with him to get him back to his best and help him regain the form of previous years.
Rashford signed a new five-year contract at United last July, until June 2028.
This follows his most successful goalscoring season as a professional, with the striker scoring 30 goals in 56 matches in all competitions.
This season, Rashford has played 40 times for United, scoring eight goals and providing five assists and recently spoke out about the “abuse” he received.
“I appreciate your help! This is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough,” he posted on social media.
Manager Erik ten Hag backed him last week to return to his best form.
He said: “I have a lot of sympathy for Rashy. Last year he had a brilliant season, the best season of his career, 30 goals.
“This season he didn’t perform well and people are very critical. I think we have to support him. Everyone should support him and push him to get back to the level he was at last year.
“I think he needs support. We all know what he is capable of. We must all support him but also push him. He can do better than this year and we saw him last year where he was really brilliant.
