Bayer Leverkusen are one win away from the Bundesliga title after Bayern Munich blew a 2-0 lead to lose at Heidenheim.
Thomas Tuchel’s side led at half-time at the Voith-Arena thanks to Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry’s 32nd league goal.
But responding goals after the break from Kevin Sessa and two from Tim Kleindienst allowed the 10th-placed hosts to take all three points.
Leverkusen, meanwhile, did their part with Florian Wirtz’s goal to claim a 1-0 victory over Union Berlin.

The win took them 16 points clear at the top with six matches remaining in the season, meaning victory against Werder Bremen next Sunday will be enough to claim the first ever Bundesliga title of the club.
They could even cross the finish line without playing again if Bayern fail to beat Cologne on Saturday.
” Nothing is decided. We’re waiting a bit,” Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso said, as quoted by Reuters. “We’ll stay focused, focus on Thursday, and then maybe we’ll have something to celebrate on Sunday.”
It has been a remarkable season for Alonso’s side, who remain undefeated and still chasing three trophies.
They reached the DFB-Pokal final on Wednesday and will face West Ham United in the Europa League quarter-finals.
The first leg of this tie will take place on Thursday.
Bayern have now lost six times in the Bundesliga, with the only realistic chance of winning a title now being the Champions League, where they meet Arsenal in the quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.
