Real Betis defender Felix Garreta is hospitalized after suffering a head injury in a domestic fall.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Spanish second division side SD Amorebieta, who have released a statement on Garreta’s condition.
The club said on Thursday: “The Amorebieta Sports Society reports that footballer Félix Martí Garreta recently suffered a head trauma following a fall in the domestic environment.
“The player on loan from Real Betis Balompié was admitted to hospital, with a guarded prognosis and awaiting development.
“The SDA remains in constant contact with the footballer’s family and his original club.”
The Spanish Football Federation wrote in a statement on X: “We want to send a lot of strength and encouragement to Félix Martí Garreta and his family.”
Garreta joined Amorebieta from Betis on a season-long loan last summer. He has made 31 Liga 2 appearances so far this season, scoring four goals.
He made two first-team appearances for Real Betis – one in La Liga and the other in the Copa del Rey – and represented the Spain Under-19s seven times.
