Namajunas defeated Zhang Weili by split decision in the women’s strawweight division. Welterweight champion Kamru Usman secured a unanimous decision against Colby Covington.
Marlon Vera, Shane Burgos and Justin Gaethje earned wins on the ESPN+ pay-per-view.

Usman, Covington withdrew his enmity after a fierce battle.
The two fighters hugged after the fight and had kind words for each other after five rounds of hard fighting. He continued in interviews after the war.
Usman said Covington has improved since their last fight and Covington said the best is yet to come.
Kamaru defeated Usman Covington to retain the UFC welterweight title.
Round 5: The title fight goes the distance in a close fight
Neither fighter did much damage in the fifth, but Usman was more aggressive. I give him the edge and the fight. 3 round to 2 with 10-8.
Round 4: Colby wins
This one is wild based on how the first two rounds went, but Covington is getting better shots in the later rounds. He had good shots to the body and followed up with hard shots. More significant damage.
Round 3: Covington has a slight edge
Covington bounced back nicely from the 2nd round playoff and came close in the third. Although he inflicted some damage on Usman, he also landed his own land. He had a good combination of jabs in the middle and then got a late takedown.
Round 2: Usman drops Covington twice
Usman easily took this round after defeating his opponent on two separate occasions. He landed a left hook with minutes to go that sent Covington to the mat. After taking off, Usman landed another hard left that did the same thing. Covington had a hard time taking him down to limit the damage before the round ended. He will be saved.
Round 1: Feel the first round
Not a ton happened in that first round. Covington went for two separate takedown attempts but both were stuffed by Usman. Neither of them landed anything serious. Covington suffered cuts to his face after an accidental head-on collision.

Namajunas won by split decision
Rose Namajunas defends her strawweight title. She wins by split decision. The two fighters hugged after the fight and after the results were given.
Each fighter had one judge score the fight 48-47 in their favor. Namajunas had it 49-46 judge, which was the difference.

Namajunas, Zhang go the distance
Rose Namajunas had a big 5 rounds. “Let’s go Rose!” Tunes came before she found Zhang Weilin’s download. Namajunas was on top of Zhang for most of the round.

Namajunas landed a big right hand on Zhang midway through the third round, but Zhang ended the round with a takedown and some ground and pound. Had the round been 15 seconds longer, Zhang might have had a chance to finish. is it. Namajunas avoids major damage thanks to the bell.

Zhang Weili lands a big punch on Rose Namajunas and soon has her on the ground. She has two takedowns in the first two rounds.

Shane Burgos defeated Billy Quarantillo by unanimous decision
Burgos vs. Quarantillo was an all-out battle, not like the one we saw with Gaethje and Chandler. Burgos destroyed his opponent’s legs with hard kicks and Quarantillo was unable to walk for the last two rounds. Quarantillo still fought back landing hard shots.
This will be the fight of the night on most cards.
Gaethje defeated Chandler by unanimous decision
Gaethje won the unanimous decision and said he expects a lightweight title shot next. The judges had scores of 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27.
Fight of the year
That was madness. I have 29-28 with Gaethje in the last two rounds. He almost knocked Chandler down several times in the final round, clearly tired, but Chandler had his moments. Back and forth for three rounds. I want two more.
Gaethje clearly takes the 2nd round
Justin Gaethje drops Michael Chandler midway through the second round with an uppercut. Out of desperation, Chandler goes for a takedown and survives. Both men went about their business but Gaetje was the more patient and effective striker.
Near the end of the round, Chandler landed a good shot but accidentally added an eyeball. Another shot followed which Gaethje was not happy about.
