Kyle Walker talks about what it means to win the Champions League after taking an emotional break.
“I’m rarely speechless but I’m over the moon. It’s a dream come true. It’s unbelievable to get the treble,” Walker said.
“I’m always sad when I don’t play but I’m 33 now and my example is for the younger kids. I gave a speech before they left, it’s emotional and this club means a lot to me.
“I’ve lived here for six years now, to give me what was given to me, this football experience, I’m forever grateful.
“I said, ‘My dream is in your hands. We’re both here for good, but it’s got to be a loser. We’ve got to make sure we leave it all on that field. We can’t work as hard as we did. Throw it away.’
“I remember when my mom didn’t have a pound for an ice cream van, so for her to be going through this now, God bless her. I’m so thankful.”
